Tosin Tomori (M.D)

Professional Background

Tosin joined Cummins in 2003 as a Process Engineer in the Fuel Systems Plant located in Columbus Indiana and was eventually responsible for the entire portfolio of HHP products. Tosin then moved to the Emission Solutions business (CES) in 2006 as a Six Sigma Black Belt and had a major role in setting up processes and implementing improvements for the growing business. In 2007, Tosin was the recipient of the Chairman’s Six Sigma Quality award.

Following the Black Belt role, Tosin became the Operations Quality Leader for CES and was responsible for driving quality operational and functional excellence across the business globally. During this time, CES received its enterprise TS 16949 certification and 76% reduction in the manufacturing defect rate across all CES plants. He also assumed the responsibility of driving the reliability improvements for current products and those efforts resulted in significant cost of coverage savings across several product platforms. In May 2010, Tosin relocated to South Africa to run the CES plant in Rosslyn and lead that business for about a year, during which the plant experienced record operational profits. He relocated to Nigeria in July 2011 to lead Cummins West Africa Ltd, the local Cummins distributor. In that position his has been on building a sustainable organization that will be well positioned to meet and exceed the projected growth targets.
